Condition of the vinyl

Condition of the vinyl

The Record Collector (RC) vinyl condition rating system is based on a detailed scale where each point represents different levels of condition.

Mint: The record is in perfect condition, with no noticeable defects, signs of use, scratches or creases. The cover, insert and any additional materials should be in perfect condition.

Excellent: The disc may have minor surface scratches that do not affect the sound quality. The cover may show minor signs of wear or scuffing, but it still looks great.

Very Good: The record may have more noticeable surface scratches that may affect the sound, but do not cause significant gaps or cracks. The cover may show noticeable signs of wear or rubbing, but is still in good condition.

Good: The record may have more significant scratches and sound issues such as skips or clicks. The cover may show significant signs of wear, scuffing or damage.

+/- Next to the grading indicates that the condition of the record/envelope is slightly higher or lower than the grading indicated.

All records are ultrasonically cleaned on high-quality equipment and auditioned.
