Embodying the roots of British recording culture, "Find Your Flame" takes dynamic turns, from the frenetic breakbeat of the title track to the reflective lyricism and Lo-Fi beats of "Reach My Soul" and "Battle Isn't Over". Nubiyan Twist enters Grime and Hip Hop territory with the tracks "Woman" and "Pray For Me (Part 1)" featuring rising UK MC NEONE The Wonderer. The exploration continues into Highlife and Soukous with "Pray For Me (Part 2)" featuring long-time Ghanaian collaborator K.O.G. and Neo-Soul with sensual vocals by Ria Moran. The exceptional corto alto from Glasgow is featured on "You Don't Know Me." Find Your Flame culminates in a beautiful collaboration with former Salif Keita backing vocalist Mamani Keita, paying homage to traditional Malian music and the roots of the genres gracefully woven throughout the album.
"As with all of our albums, it's a snapshot of our collective influences and journeys throughout its creation." explains band leader and producer Tom Exell. "It's a catharsis for our hardships, and at the same time a receptacle for our joy." Going through COVID, the magic of becoming parents, amputating a leg, recovering from a car accident, losing loved ones and finding new friendships have all shaped this music. But most importantly, the process of working together helped ignite the liberating fire of struggle in each of us."
