Foghat's Stone Blue (1978) continues the group's tradition of recording hard rock 'n boogie for the beer drinkin' masses. Like previous releases, Stone Blue drips with well-worn three-chord blues-based energy.
Filled out with eight songs that kick ass from the stereo system, as well as in concert, the highlights from Stone Blue include the cruising title track, plus "Chevrolet", the ZZ Top inspired "Easy Money", "Midnight Madness", and "It Hurts Me Too" ("Lonesome" Dave's self-proclaimed signature cut).
Self-produced along with studio veteran Eddie Kramer, the hard touring quartet added a tight, four-minute cover of the legendary "Sweet Home Chicago" to the LP.
Crank it up... and kick it out!
