Superkilen The new album by Danish duo Svaneborg Kardyb, Nikolaj Svaneborg (keyboards) and Jonas Kardyb (drums), is named after a public park in the ethnically diverse Nørrebro neighbourhood of Copenhagen. This former strip of wasteland was used by the art group Superflex in the early 2010s to bring immigrants and locals together in an atmosphere of tolerance and unity. Its name epitomises their music, which is equally inventive in creating space and tranquillity as a tonic in the tense and cluttered environment of life in the 2020s. Just as the Regeneration Project has transformed the area, Svaneborg Kardyb have harnessed this positive energy to help stimulate change in their own music.
