The Japanese MHCP 688 reissue is part of Sony’s high-quality mini-LP sleeve series, and it really delivers both sonically and visually. It uses 20-bit digital remastering, offering a slightly warmer and more dynamic soundstage compared to earlier CD pressings. Instruments, especially Gilmour’s guitar and the ambient effects, feel more open and better layered, giving a bit more breath to the album’s spatial qualities.
