A seventeen year old guy from New Jersey under the pseudonym dltzk creates his first album, and by extension - the album of the year (at least that's what many music platforms will soon say). dltzk started (and he started only a year ago!) in the newly appeared digicore style, but this time he doesn't limit himself and plays with almost all other directions, which can be heard in the charts of teenagers nowadays. On his first album Frailty he presents a rich palette of growing up mind, and listening to it we can easily imagine what emotions new generations of people will live in our world in 10 or maybe 20 years. It's true romanticism, like the 19th century - a poet in his early twenties captures the mood of an entire era and distils it into a creation for the ages.

"The album starts with the standard melancholy hip-hop with autotune on the vocals. Goldfish is a sad confession about teenage love and not only problems. Its most important advantage is to shade the next part of the album with its standardisation, which starts already on the composition misplace. Swaying like the same bedrum, already in the first minute the track is coloured with bittersweet chiptune motif. An unexpected turn: due to autotune and electronic melodies it sounds very similar to hiperpop, but it's not quite it. movies for guys mixes hyperpop with noise-pop, and in the second minute the real noise-jam starts, which is as memorable as the catchy melodies in the body of the track. Can you tell? tells a parable in the language of progressive electronica, unexpectedly mature and thoughtful, and then moves on to fresh-sounding hyperpop: the novelty effect is achieved precisely by the incredibly complex music. The greatest composition of the album is how to lie, which bombards the listener with streams of deconstructed dubstep, mutated inditronics and glitch mixed with hiproom/hyperpop backbone. eyes off the wheel, i'm a star does the same, coming from the EDM side: it's amazing dance music with unconventional electronic effects and techniques from almost all trendy styles of the recently started 2020s, including gaze and digital hardcore.
The incredible, almost frantic mixture of directions on dltzk's album sounds very, very fresh, and despite the seemingly chaotic nature it achieves the main goal - to create an atmosphere of warm nostalgia, hope and aspiration for the future. No one has ever so authentically conveyed the experiences of originally digital teenagers, the realities of metaverse space and friendship, love and parting in it. The album, while easy to play at a party, feels like the first major breakthrough in the newly formed scene of extreme pop music and the reinterpretation of emo's legacy. If you've been wanting to listen to hiperpop but have been hesitant to do so, this is your chance."
