A 17-year-old musician from New Jersey, who was performing under the pseudonym dltzk at the time, released her debut album — which also turned out to be one of the most talked-about independent releases of the year. It wasn’t long before numerous music publications and specialist platforms began hailing *Frailty* as one of the best albums of 2021.

Having embarked on her creative journey in the relatively new genre of digicore, dltzk refused to limit herself to the confines of a single genre. On *Frailty*, she boldly blended hyperpop, shoegaze, emo, indie rock, electronica and noise experiments, creating a sound that, at the time, had no direct equivalents.

Her debut album became an emotional portrait of a generation coming of age in the digital age. Through anxiety, falling in love, loneliness and the search for her own identity, Jane Remover captures the spirit of the times so accurately that *Frailty* is perceived not only as a personal story, but also as a kind of manifesto for a new generation.

There is something of 19th-century Romanticism in this: a young artist, not yet twenty, captures the mood of her era with remarkable subtlety and transforms it into music capable of remaining relevant far beyond the moment of its creation.
