Bob Ezrin didn't like the demos they had recorded for it, and immediately opted to scrap them. His plan: do a concept album. The thought was to record the music as the soundtrack to a movie entitled "The Elder." It would be a rock opera about a young boy's quest to become a powerful warrior. All the pieces were in place: a prelude ("Fanfare," "Just A Boy"), an ideal opening credit sequence ("Oddysey"), music to help tell the body of the story ("Only You," "Under The Rose," "Dark Light," "A World Without Heroes," "The Oath," "Mr. Blackwell"), and a finale ("Escape From The Island," "I").
