Zarathustra was a short-lived band from Hamburg, Germany, who released one album in 1972.
Zarathustra borrowed their name from German philosopher Frederich Nietzsche, but their sound came from a very different place. Zarathustra was a band that played energetic heavy progressive rock. With Ernst Herzner's assertive vocals, this album leaves few questions and is straightforward heavy Krautrock with plenty of additional instruments and arrangements. Overall a great album full of nice dark and deep organ overdubs and emotional vocals...
