South London-born and Atlanta-based musician Puma Blue - alias Jacob Allen - has released a surprise album, Antichamber, on the Blue Flowers label. Alongside the release of the 13-track work, which follows January's single ‘tapestry’, supported by Stereogum, Paste Magazine, Northern Transmissions, The Line of Best Fit, CLASH and more, Allen has announced 3 private headline shows for May in New York, Los Angeles and Atlanta.

Antichamber marks a shift in Puma Blue's sound, with Allen forgoing a full band, focusing on complex electronic textures and acoustic instrumentation. While Puma Blue's previous material was at the intersection between trip-hop, jazz and electronica, antichamber showcases an open and straightforward approach to songwriting. They are vulnerable and crushingly beautiful, with vocals and guitar being the only components, at times conveying deep narratives (‘tapestry’, ‘hotel room’) and at other times the simplest of emotions (‘in the absence of you’).
