ABBA had some of the best melodies of all time and as far as Euro-pop is concerned, nobody matches the quality of their output. "Arrival" is certainly a high-point and while it suffers from the occasional underwhelming track, not only does it showcase the eclectic influences of their diverging personalities but also that they weren't just a "singles" band and could deliver an entire full-length of goodies. For example, songs like "When I Kissed the Teacher" and "Dum Dum Diddle" are virtually unknown but pretty delightful. The latter in particular features quite an inventive opening synthesizer riff.
