Reissue of the eponymous, debut studio album of the American supergroup Audioslave from 2002.
Audioslave is that rare case when representatives of two great bands come together and create an even greater band. Composed three-quarters of Rage Against The Machine and former Soundgarden vocalist Chris Cornell, Audioslave emerged on the music scene with a mix of Zeppelin and Sabbath from the 70s, carried into 2000 and beyond. The idea to bring in Chris Cornell as vocalist was producer Rick Rubin's, and the band wrote no less than 21 songs in 19 days of jamming and rehearsing.
