Weirdly enough, some of Felt’s most out-there and uncharacteristically Felt songs end up on here. “Space Blues” is an ambient, yet funky track. “Be Still” weirdly reminds me a lot of Gigi Masin’s work on Wind. “The Darkest Ending”, originally an album track, is a sinister ambient track. There are multiple piano instrumentals on here, including the beautiful “Magellan”.
There are several album tracks from all of the Creation LPs (though there are more on the original release), but it’s great to see that the singles/EPs get a dedicated section on Bubblegum Perfume. Not an album for anyone getting into Felt for the first time, but it’s a very nice listen.
