The underrated Bobby Caldwell album, Carry On sees the pop funk soul singer dive into deeper subjects beyond love and simple attraction. “Sunny Hills” almost sounds like a Steely Dan tune, funky and sophisticated with lyrics about sending someone to a retirement home. The cut here though is the last track on the album which also happens to be the title track.
