Dirty Tricks only released three albums. But this, their debut effort, is a proto-doom metal classic and the best of the bunch. It features the talented vocalist, Kenny Stewart backed by three excellent musicians. This is especially true of guitarist Johnny Fraser-Binnie. In fact, all three were Ozzy’s band a few years later. And you can hear why, as they are clearly influenced by Black Sabbath. Pulsating bass lines, fizzing guitar riffs and confident vocals. What more could a rock band need?
