One of many Swedish Black Metal band formed in the 90’s, Sacramentum recorded their debut album, Far Away from the Sun, in 1996. Compared to the Depressive Black fixations of Vinterland, the chaotic Black/Death hybrid of Dissection and the complicated Progressive Metal of Dawn, Sacramentum sounded closer to Progressive Metal acts like Satyricon and Abigor with the riffs of Nargaroth.
