Tomoko Aran's masterpiece "Fuyū-Kūkan" is finally being released on 2LP, 180g heavy vinyl, 45 RPM!

Analog master tape restoration and archiving onto DSD by Seigen Ono at Saidera Mastering.
This analog master is flat converted from DSD to 96kHz 24bit.

The album Fuyū-Kūkan by Japanese singer Tomoko Aran is one of the key works in the city pop genre, released in 1983 and subsequently gaining cult status among Japanese music lovers.
The recording combines the sophistication of the night city with the experimentalism of the new wave: Aran's light vocals float through dense synthesizer layers, disco rhythms, saxophone solos, and guitar parts. There is no monotony here — the album boldly balances between dance energy and a meditative atmosphere, creating a sense of breadth and space, as implied by the title itself (‘floating space’).

At the time of its release in 1983, the production team had to abandon cutting the song "Dilemma (The Melancholy of 25)" due to interference between the grooves caused by the characteristics of the sound source and the constraints of recording time, despite the album's intended structure. This release includes that legendary track (※a different song with the same title as the bonus track), and the complete version is finally being released on analog for the first time.

This representative City Pop album, which has been undergoing a global re-evaluation in recent years, is revived after 43 years as a "complete version" with the highest sound quality specifications.
