SHM-SACD (Super High Material Super Audio CD) is a premium audio disc format that combines the high-quality sound of SACD with an improved media material. SHM (Super High Material) is a special transparent polymer designed for use in liquid crystal displays. Its high transparency improves laser readability, allowing for more accurate digital signal transmission and reduced distortion during playback.
SHM-SACD uses DSD (Direct Stream Digital) technology, which achieves extremely high sound quality close to the studio original. The format is aimed at audiophiles and music lovers who appreciate deep, detailed and natural sound.
A special green ink called ‘Onsho Shiyou’ is used to print the disc label, which minimises diffuse reflection.
Please note: this single-layer SHM-SACD can only be played on SACD players. It is not compatible with conventional CD players.
