A warm, sluggish Autumn day might feel something like this album. AAFCC delivers a mix of black metal and shoegaze, with it's typical fried vocals and dreamy, surreal instrumentation.
The distorted guitars and lethargic ambience gives the album a layer of wistful quality. There is, however, a sort of energy present amongst it all. Often, the songs start out soft and sad, to later delve into a fuller, powerful, crushing sound, amplified by the drums and vocals. In an interview of MXM, he once said that the rural area of the Netherlands in which he lived influenced him as a person, and therefore reflected onto his music. This makes loads of sense; one can only imagine a bleak, empty landscape when hearing the music.
