Rock music is often controversial, as are some of the album covers of the genre. One such is the cover of Scorpions' fourth album 'Virgin Killer'. It depicts a fully naked 10-year-old girl posing in a defiant manner. According to the German hard rock band, it supposedly symbolises the loss of virginity.
Many disagreed with this. In most countries, the cover of the "Virgin Killer" album was censored and replaced with a picture of the six band members. The music press was also not lenient on the project, with Cracked magazine calling it the worst album cover of all time.
