"Blinding Lights" is a song recorded by Canadian singer The Weeknd for his fourth studio album After Hours. It was released as the second single from the album on 29 November 2019, two days after the release of lead single "Heartless". Written and produced by The Weeknd himself with contributions from Max Martin and Oscar Holter, the song also lists rapper Belly and Jason Quinville as co-writers.
"Blinding Lights" reached number one on the charts in over thirty countries around the world, including the United States and Canada, where it became the fifth chart-topper on the Billboard Hot 100 and Canadian Hot 100, topping them for four and seven weeks, respectively. It also became the singer's first single to reach the top of the charts in Germany and stayed there for ten weeks, in the UK for eight weeks, and in Australia for eleven weeks.
