With only two overlooked 1970s singles released under their name, some may wonder why anyone would bother to compile this CD of unreleased relics recorded by ultra-obscure London hard rockers Urchin...until they learn that the group was helmed by future Iron Maiden guitarist Adrian Smith. Word of caution to the wise, though: whereas previously available posthumous Urchin compilations made sure to include the aforementioned singles, 1977's "Black Leather Fantasy" (the result of a brief deal with Elton John's DJM Records) and 1978's "She's a Roller" (featuring Smith's temporarily ousted Maiden buddy Dave Murray), High Roller relies entirely on informally recorded rehearsals of rather mysterious provenance.
