For the album Sabbath Bloody Sabbath (November 1973), the band recruited Yes keyboardist Rick Wakeman, marking a slight change in musical direction; the album became Black Sabbath's fifth top ten hit and sold millions of copies.
The album marked a sad page in the band's career, as their manager Jim Simpson sued them for wrongful dismissal. The band realised that their manager had cheated them out of millions of dollars. The legal battle lasted for two years. As Osbourne said, this album ‘Sabbath Bloody Sabbath’ was created to pay off their lawyers. In this album, Black Sabbath displayed the harsh realities of the music business. And the composition ‘Killing Yourself To Live’ reflected their dissatisfaction with the music business.
