The 1989 album "Snakes 'N' Ladders" was the last work of Nazareth's regular guitarist Manny Charlton, who left the band a year after the release of the record. The album itself became the seventeenth in the discography of the team, took 10th place in the Norwegian and 26th place in the Swiss charts.
