The cult debut Ukrainian-language album Komu Vnyz 1990, released in 1990, became a manifesto of a new sound combining dark aesthetics, powerful energy and deep national self-awareness. This record laid the foundations for the gothic rock genre in Ukraine and is still considered one of the most striking examples of underground music of its time. The album is notable for its combination of heavy guitar riffs, dramatic lyrics and the unique baritone voice of vocalist Andriy Sereda.
The lyrics are deeply rooted in philosophical and national themes that refer to the history, culture and identity of Ukrainians. Their music was inspired by gothic, industrial and folk motifs, which made it unique and authentic.
