Iryna Bilyk is an iconic Ukrainian singer and songwriter who rose to fame thanks to her bold creative experiments. The album *Farby* is a significant work by the singer, dedicated to social issues and the search for one’s identity amidst this chaos. Almost every song on the album is a recognisable hit which, thanks to its ideas, remains relevant to this day and is being re-released in a new format.
Iryna Bilyk began her career in 1988 and quickly achieved success thanks to her distinctive style and arrangements. In the 1990s, she became the face of new Ukrainian pop music. Iryna Bilyk also frequently wrote her own songs, which made them more candid. “Farby” was released in 1997, and upon its release it immediately gained great popularity and sold 1 million copies in Ukraine. One of the most significant releases in the artist’s musical career. This album featured the first recordings of such well-known songs as: “Lonely”, “My Happiness” and the beloved “And I’m Sailing”. The album comprises 12 tracks (including a remix version of the song “Lonely”)
All Ukrainian-language albums will be released on vinyl: “Kuvala Zozulya”, “Ya Rozkazhu”, “Nova”, “Tak Prosto”, “Farby”, “Oma”, “Kraina”, as well as the 8th album – a compilation of singles. For those who purchase all 7 albums, the compilation will be a free gift.
Each album is revolutionary and epoch-making, with its own concept and history. Iryna Bilyk has had perhaps the greatest influence and, in fact, shaped the Ukrainian pop scene, orienting herself towards the West, for which she was dubbed the “Ukrainian Madonna”.
